We are a group of four Transition Year students from St. Gerald's College, Castlebar, Co.Mayo and this is the official site for our racing team, West Coast Racers. We are competing in the F1 in Schools Competition in which we must design, manufacture, test and race aerodynamic models of Formula 1 cars. We have now qualified for the National Finals which will be held in late April 2009.

Team Preparing for National Finals Race Day! 26/04/09
With the National Finals coming up on the 28th April in Griffith College, Dublin, the team are now busy preparing. The car has been finished and is ready for racing and the teams new display has also been completed. The winner on Tuesday will go forward to the World Championships, where they will compete against the best teams in the world for the Bernie Ecclestone World Championship Trophy.
